Columbus Mazza, 80, of Mentor, formerly of Concord Twp, passed away on September 11, 2017 at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby.
He was born March 19, 1937 in West Virginia.
Columbus was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a parishioner of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Mentor. He enjoyed everything sports, including the Indians, Browns, and Ohio State. Columbus also enjoyed traveling and going to casinos. His greatest love was attending his grandkid's sporting events.
He was a Tool & Die Maker for Lucas Machine in Cleveland for over 30 years, retiring in 1999....

He was the Beloved husband of the late Virginia (nee Germano); dear companion of Ann Knaus; loving father of Larry (Connie) and Kimberly; devoted grandfather of Stephanie, Samantha, Alexis, Francesca, and Nicholas; dear son of the late Teresa (nee Fraia) and Larry Mazza; cherished brother of Dominic (Edea) (both deceased), Vincent (Alice), Rosemary (deceased) (John) Pace, and Frank (Marian Piza, deceased), and brother-in-law of Joanne (Vince, deceased) Teodosio, Carol (Jerome, deceased) Hinko, Elaine Germano (deceased), Eleanor (Jim) Albanese, and Anthony (Gloria) Germano.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd, Concord Twp. Rev. Frederick Pausche will officiate. Entombment will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Twp.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave, Willoughby.
